Downtown Mantua Revitalization (DMRC) is a non-profit 501c3 that has supported historic Mantua since 2007. We operate with one major function - to promote and revitalize the Village of Mantua tbecome a village where people want to live and visit.

Through our work, the Village of Mantua has been awarded numerous grants to renovate and upgrade parks, renovate historic buildings, and brighten the environment with murals, village flowers, and social gatherings.

We hope you will join us for a meeting or at one of our annual events like summer’s Art on the Hill & Wine Tasting Too and the Spring Social (reverse raffle).

Your donations fund the revitalizations you see throughout this website. Support by:

  • Donating now, or each fall through our annual Friends Campaign (thank you, Friends!).

  • Purchasing an annual DMRC calendar filled with Photo Contest Winners - it makes a great gift! 

  • Planning a visit - annual celebrations, renovations, outdoor activities, and local businesses make Mantua Village a destination place for you and your family

2026 Priorities

Parking
Perhaps the biggest infrastructure improvement challenge. Dialog continues and more options are being explored on how best to move forward.

Playground Upgrade
Continuing discussion with the village on type and form of fence enclosure for the playground equipment DMRC recently funded at Buchert Memorial Park.

Sidewalk Rehab
Identify areas downtown needing improvement and work with stakeholders to help fund repairs

2025 Revitalizations

New and Improved River Access
With The Portage Park District and ODNR, contributed $30,000 toward the purchase of 1.6 acres on the river for canoe and kayak access. ODNR will own and develop the site and The Village of Mantua will provide custodial services.

Major Work at Buchert Memorial Park
Secured grants to re-roof pavilions, build restrooms, and add a pickleball court as well as funded the purchase and installation of new playground equipment.

Mantua Small Business Grants
Four (4), $400 grants to local businesses.
